Tonight, Boca Juniors managed to qualify for the semifinals of the Copa Argentina after defeating Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata in a penalty shootout by 2-1. The match ended in a 1-1 tie in regulation time.

Boca's goalkeeper, Leandro Brey, had an outstanding performance in the penalties by saving four of the five shots taken by Gimnasia, allowing his team to advance to the next phase of the tournament.

In the penalty shootout, Marcos Rojo and Jorge Figal scored for Boca, while Miguel Merentiel and Milton Giménez missed their shots.
